After posting the article regarding Micro Credit I was contacted by a supporter who suggested I should come up with a specific name for the scheme. Having given it some consideration I decided to name it based on a bit of a play on words – it may be corny BUT I feel it is “catchy” and “relevant” – you may or may not agree !!

The Sierra Leone currency is Leones, abbreviated to Le. I have therefore decided to name my MicroCredit scheme AlansAfrica Sierra LeOANS – I told you it was corny but I don’t care.

As a follow up I have just set up a third lady, Tewah, on the scheme. She already runs a small “corner shop” from a small room off  the veranda of her house and my £35 will enable her to boost her stock holding.
