Having had the first tranche of money a few days ago the community at Kunduma School are really keen to get on with the building of their first ever toilets at the school. They have started to dig the pit and another group of guys have just started to make the concrete blocks to form the tank.

We always buy sand, cement and block moulds and the guys then make the blocks. It is possible to buy blocks but by employing some locals to make the blocks they earn some money for their families and they “buy in” to the project.

In the photo you can see that the sun is doing it’s work and drying out the blocks!
