Latest brief news from Sierra Leone

After a really busy few months things have quietened down a bit but there are still things happening as the country enters its “rsainy season”.

At Calvary School THEY have funded the sinking of a well for the school and chuch community and I am now supporting them in phase 2 which is the building of a tower to house a 10,000 litre water tank, a submersible pump in the well and then pipework to give them taps at strategic points around the complex. When completed this will make an enormous difference to the community, who currently have to walk half a mile to fetch water.

At Liverpool Community School we have just bought another batch os science equipment for the laboratory and at Kunduma School, having just completed concrete floors and completeley screeded the outside of the 3 classroom block, we are now having wooden desk and bench sets made for the children.
