The Calvary Church & School community was founded 20 years ago and the buildings have been developed during this time BUT they have never had running water or mains electricity within the entire compound.

When I visited back in April the church community had held a “whip round” so that they could sink a well and I committed to funding the installation of a gravity fed water system. We have built a 5 metre high tower, housing a 5,000 litre water storage tank, installed a submersible pump in the well to pump water to the tank. A number of taps have been located within the compound and we are also going to complete the project by installing 2 flushing toilets.

Pastor Mark reports that as well as 120+ children and 250 church members who will have access to the water the facility will also provide water for over 1,000 people from the local community.
