Due to an increase in the number of children attending the Junior School and to reduce class numbers due to Covid 19 the school has erected 2 temporary classrooms. They are constructed of a timber pole framework with a matting and tarpaulin roof, there are no walls. Although this is a short term solution, I don’t believe the structure will survive the rainy season.

I have obtained a quote to replace the temporary structure with a concrete block structure and a corrugated tin roof and the work to dig the foundation trenches has already started and yesterday I sent a tranche of money so that they can start to buy materials for the foundations.

For about £5,500 (dependent on the exchange rate) we can build and equip both classrooms – a small price to pay to improve the learning environment.
