The building work at the school is going really well – here is an update.
We initially built 2 classrooms, for year 7 & 8 pupils and these were completed for the start of the new academic year last September.
In November I visited, along with Barry (a good friend, who is a retired builder) and we started to work on classroom 3. In just 10 days, with the help of the local builders, we managed to get to roof height. The roof was completed during the Christmas holidays and the new classroom was ready for the start of the January term.
We have also built a small toilet block and plan to add a basic water harvesting system and handwash station, as funds permit. We are currently refurbishing a well, which has been derelict for a number of years and this is nearing completion. We also plan to build a fourth classroom once all the funding is in place.
